Our company is growing and periodically we have the need for talented and experienced contract writers.

 

Contract Position Overview

 

Review client information and prepare questions to uncover missing information.  Interact directly with resume writer team coordinator, keeping coordinator apprised of questions, concerns, and project status.   Write resumes and cover letters within particular area of expertise, based on background of writer.  Develop resumes to meet ATS standards and rich with keywords based on client’s job target. Ability to meet strict deadlines without compromising quality, producing complete draft sets within a 2 business day turnaround period. Willing to adhere to company style guide and best practices. Able to accept and respond to editing requests. Must be accessible by email and text Monday through Friday, between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm Pacific time. 

 

Minimum Requirements

 

Bachelor’s degree. 

 

Real world work experience.  A large portion of our clients are in the fields of finance, marketing, law, high technology, engineering, and scientific research. However, we help clients in all fields.  Therefore we seek writers with a background in fields similar to our clients. The ability to understand the drivers and values of specific occupations and industries is critical to marketing a client effectively.

 

Minimum of 5 years of paid professional resume writing experience.  

 

Hold at least one professional resume writing certification from associations, including Career Directors International, National Association of Resume Writers, and Resume Writing Academy.

 

Expertise on current resume writing standards, including creating ATS-friendly resumes. Current knowledge of LinkedIn optimization techniques. Standards change rapidly.  Contractors must  maintain up-to-the minute knowledge through continuous research.

 

Exceptional grammar, vocabulary, and proofreading skills.

 

Outstanding ability to devise an effective resume strategy.  Adept at interpreting job requirements, researching marketing demands for particular jobs, and analyzing a client’s history.

Proper tools and software to complete projects, including Internet service and MS Word for PC.

 

Impeccable standards.

 

 

Details

 

This position described is a contractor engagement, performed at the contractor’s place of work. Compensation is project-based. We offer contractors projects and the contractor is able to accept or reject the project offer.  To present yourself as a possible contractor, feel free to submit your personal resume along with two fictional resume samples that you have created from scratch along with two sample cover letters.
