Expectations

Having followed steps one and two, you've got a good foundation. Now use the categories on the Expectations form to describe your career expectations. Be realistic, use the previous exercises to guide you.

Click on one of these links to download the Expectations form in one of these formats:

Adobe Acrobat PDF
Microsoft Word
Microsoft Excel

Once you've downloaded all the forms, schedule a short break away from work and other commitments. Really think when you complete the exercises. Many people find escaping to the beach, a local park, or other natural setting the ideal place to reflect.

This will not only help you with the decisions facing you today. Save these exercises in your career journal. Return to them over time and you'll see trends that help shape your future decisions also.

Downloading the form

Click on the format in which you'd like to save the document; choose a format which you have the necessary software to work with. It will then download to your own computer where you can print it out, or fill it in on your screen. (Some people find that getting away from the computer helps the process of reflection.)

To work with PDF files, you can download a free copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader here.
