Your Past Experience

Click on one of these links to download the Experience form in one of these formats:

Adobe Acrobat PDF
Microsoft Word
Microsoft Excel

This form gives you a place to list all of your jobs in chronological order, what your life was like at the time, some specifics about the job, and what you liked and disliked about it.

Return to your list after a day or so. Do you see any patterns? How much has your lifestyle or life events affected your happiness at work? This exercise itself should provoke contemplation and values clarification.

If you have a career spanning several years or more you can see how your needs and expectations change based on your changing lifestyle.

Downloading the form

Click on the format in which you'd like to save the document; choose a format which you have the necessary software to work with. It will then download to your own computer where you can print it out, or fill it in on your screen. (Some people find that getting away from the computer helps the process of reflection.)

To work with PDF files, you can download a free copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader here.
